Episode 22: Flow Into a Better Practice With Kinesiology Expert Eric Mills
TUNE IN: APPLE PODCASTS | SPOTIFY | STITCHER
This amazing Physical Therapist believes that there should be a holistic approach to physical therapy and provides so much value to his clients.
Eric Mills has been working in outpatient sports and orthopedic physical therapy clinics since he graduated in 2017 and works with patients from age 10+. Before physical therapy, he was a college athlete who knew that post athlete life, he couldn't work at a desk for the rest of his life. Eric eventually wanted to work with people to improve their well-being in some form or capacity.
In 2016 he started his own practice, Flow Physical Therapy, to provide individualized, one-on-one care to the community of Chicago, at lateral fitness. Flow uses the most up-to-date, research based techniques to create personalized programs for each individual's specific injury.
One of the first things I noticed about Eric was how detailed and individualized he is with each client. Eric is sharing in today’s episode how he transitioned into owning his own practice, how he took that leap of faith, and how he can now work more closely with each patient, to achieve better results. There were a lot of changes that Eric wanted to implement in his own practice - he wanted to change some of the things he saw the larger companies doing, that didn’t feel right to him, and he noticed he wasn’t enjoying his work the way he wanted to.
He is now able to spend quality time with his patients, create real relationships, and enjoy what he does, and has fun every day!
