My amazing guest today is Abby Hildebrand, a breathwork coach, human development specialist, and emotional transformation guide. Her mission is to empower others to take control of their emotional and physical health and to help them build a path through wellness one step at a time.

Abby is here to share with us all about How to Ditch the Overwhelm of Motherhood!!

Postpartum is extremely common. And although it is written about it’s not always spoken about. Abby shares her story of postpartum after having her daughter Elizabeth. 

So much of the time we are alone as mommas. Abby found the value in finding a community or tribe that you can be a part of and now offers that to her clients. 

After realizing that she could utilize breathwork while holding her baby it became the foundation for everything she built. It was something that was there for her whenever she needed to use it. As a new mother, she didn’t have the option to shut herself in a dark room for 30 minutes but she could use her breath to calm her anxiety while holding her baby for 30 seconds. 

Abby shares what other tools she has used for anxiety and depression that everyone can do, and especially doable for those with young children. 

In addition to this, she also works on making self-care a daily life habit. When it is ingrained into your day as much as brushing your teeth - self-care then becomes part of your life. New mothers are so busy, always on the go, and might not be on a perfectly set schedule.

Stacking daily habits allows you to incorporate self-care into your life.

We also chat about Abby’s emotional roadmap where she helps mommas begin to process their emotions and begin to look at how they respond in certain scenarios and what triggers may be present.  Because acknowledging it and being aware of it is the biggest key for people. 

Starting her company, Wellness Creek has allowed her the joy to come to activities when her energy is present for them.

You can’t put all of your energy 1000% into both being a mother and working. When she decides to get down on the floor and play with her daughter, she has the energy to put all of her love and attention towards her.  The same for when she decides to work, she can just focus her energy on the exercises and lessons she creates for her clients.

As new mothers, you may find yourself comparing yourself to other moms. Abby talks about how to veer away from these kinds of thoughts, and how she helps her clients discover their superpowers.
