Episode 107: Mastering the Art of Letting Go

 

So much of our stress is caused by the setbacks we face in life, such as when someone does something hurtful to us or we experience failure or rejection. When those things happen, they feel like a punch in the gut. The impact creates so much stress that if we don’t learn to let go, it can last for months or even years.

This causes stress to build up in the body and stay there. You may eventually get used to the stress and not notice it as much… but it’s still there, causing physical and emotional damage. That’s why I want to talk about the art of letting go.

In this episode, you’ll learn to release the stress you’ve been carrying in your body from those emotional gut punches. I’ll guide you through a box breathing exercise to get you relaxed and a body scanning exercise to help you release tension through your whole body.

I’ve had some major stressful moments in my life, including one I’m going to share today. But I’ve learned to acknowledge my feelings and then let go. Releasing this stress felt like a weight off my shoulders, so now I’m sharing my tips with you so you can do the same!
